ALEKS is an online learning platform that is adaptative to each student’s needs.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, we are accepting applications from 3rd-grade students at Sawyer Elementary. We are partnering with Ames Community School District and the Sawyer Elementary teachers to engage youth and families.
Students will need access to an electronic device (Desktop, Laptop, Tablet), an area to work, traditional school supplies (notebook, pens, pencils, calculator, etc.), a positive attitude, and a desire to have fun! Materials are provided during in-person sessions. Support is available for those without a computer or Internet access. Please inquire.
Students will participate in one-hour weekly tutoring sessions. In addition, students are asked to spend 1.0 – 1.5 hours each week working on the ALEKS software application.
